These are two traditional Chinese lanterns encased in chainmail. By using this cold, heavy, and restrictive material, I attempt to rewrite the lantern's original softness and glow. They no longer emit light, but resemble sealed remnants. I want them to embody a state of suppressed life—existences that were meant to shine, yet silenced and armored instead.

这是两个用chainmail（金属环甲）包裹的中国传统灯笼。我试图用这种冷硬、沉重、具限制性的材料，改写灯笼本来的轻盈与温暖。它们不再发光，而像是被封印的遗骸。我希望它们呈现出一种“被压抑的生命”的状态——那些应当闪耀、却被沉默和武装起来的存在。
